Terms of use

The short version: BannedIn helps you read labels, but it isn't medical advice, and subscriptions renew until you cancel.

Who we are

BannedIn is made by Boostup International PTY LTD, a company in Queensland, Australia. By using BannedIn you agree to these terms.

Not medical advice

BannedIn is general information about how food additives are regulated in different countries. It isn't medical, dietary or legal advice. Always check the pack itself, and talk to a doctor or dietitian about allergies or health conditions.

How accurate it is

Product details come from Open Food Facts, a database built by volunteers, and food rules and recipes change. We work to keep BannedIn accurate and up to date, but we can't promise every product or rule is complete or current.

Free scans and BannedIn Unlimited

Each phone gets 10 free scans. After that, BannedIn Unlimited costs $19 a month or $49 a year in the US. Prices in other countries are shown in the App Store or Google Play before you buy.

Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Family Sharing is included.

Refunds

Apple and Google handle refunds under their own policies. Ask them through the App Store or Google Play.

Using BannedIn fairly

Please don't copy, resell or scrape BannedIn, or use it to build a competing service.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Using BannedIn after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and any dispute will be heard in the courts of Queensland. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other consumer laws that apply to you.
